The PowerBass Xtreme 2XL-683 is a 6 × 8-inch coaxial speaker designed to deliver a strong balance of sound quality, efficiency, and durability for car audio applications. It uses a wool/paper composite cone for a lightweight yet rigid structure, helping improve low-frequency response while maintaining clear midrange performance.
The speaker also features a high-damping butyl rubber surround, a 1-inch silk soft-dome tweeter, and a 3-ohm multi-layer voice coil designed to make better use of amplifier power. Its integrated 6 dB high-pass crossover helps provide smoother high-frequency response and improved power handling.
With 75 watts RMS, 150 watts maximum power handling, 91 dB sensitivity, and a 53 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, the 2XL-683 is a solid upgrade for factory or aftermarket audio systems.
